Maricruz AldanaCordon is the Workforce Manager for the Child Development Program with Community Action Marin. She has been with the Community Action Marin Child Development Program for 12 years. As Workforce Manager, she coordinates an Early Childhood Education Community Workforce Pilot Project. This project supports an entering workforce into the early childhood field, addressing the critical teacher shortage in Marin, while also supporting the existing workforce in the Child Development Program. In her previous role with CAMCDP, she was a preschool teacher for 11 years where her passion for education emerged. She holds a B.A in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College and a Child Development Director’s permit from California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Maricruz is also currently serving as commissioner on the Marin Child Care Commission. She is a first generation college graduate of Guatemalan parents and in her spare time she enjoys spending her time outdoors or cooking up a favorite recipe.
