One of our educational partners, Aim High, has some exciting opportunities. They are hiring teachers and student interns for their summer 2019 program. See below for more details from the Aim High Executive Director.
We were thrilled to bring together Marin educational institutions, Marin educators of color, and allies for the Marin Educators for Equity Forum on Saturday Feb. 9, hosted by College of Marin. The Forum provided a unique opportunity for educators and educational institutions to meet directly, and work toward collective efforts that support educational equity.
Our human ancestry spoke loud and proud as 75 educators of color who teach in Marin shared their experiences with institutional leaders from 8 different educational institutions in Marin county. The conversation we all struggle to have about race and educational equity was transformative as we laughed and cried and took giant strides to increase our knowledge and compassion as well as our capacity as educators to move the needle on equity in educational institutions.
We will continue to build the Marin Educators for Equity network and plan to facilitate more opportunities to actualize our vision of culturally relevant support for educators of color in Marin.
